About Folonari
Folonari was founded in 1825 in the Veneto region of northeast Italy by Francesco Folonari. From the very beginning, the founders wanted to create exceptional wines for everyday occasions. Nearly two centuries later, Folonari is enjoyed around the world. The wines are celebrated for their easy-drinking and fruit-forward personalities. The Folonari lion symbol on our labels conveys the unique spirit of the brand. Inspired by the original lion illustration from the Veneto flag with a fresh twist to the Lion of St. Mark, it boldly celebrates the history of the brand paying homage to its origins.
Valpolicella is the classic red wine of Italy's Veneto region; a blend of local grape varieties that combine to give forward fruit and a supple approachable structure. Ruby red in colour, with upfront spice and plum aromas. On the palate, expect a medium body, soft berry and plum flavours and a fresh, food-friendly finish.
